BAY INFERENCE:  Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and East central Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs MST today, the tropical storm “Nangka” over the South China Sea is crossing Hainan and move to west Northwestwards. It is forecast to reach Tonkin Bay.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 14th October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kayin and Mon States,  ‌scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from the Southern Myanmar areas.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 14th October, 2020:  Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (60%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 14th October, 2020:   Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (80%).

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 14th October, 2020:     Partly cloudy.
