SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Mon State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States with isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.89) inches in Htilin, (1.42) inches in Mogoke, (1.22) inches in Labutta, (1.06) inches in Nyaung Oo, (1.02) inches each in Hpa-an and Kawthaung, (0.94) inch in Chaungsone, (0.87) inch in Theinzayet and (0.83) inch in Kyeikmayaw.

BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at (10:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over West central Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and crossed North Andhra Pradesh Coast close to Kakinada. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and East central Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kayin and Mon States,  ‌scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from the Southern Myanmar areas.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 14th October, 2020:  Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (60%).
