SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.40) inches in Machanbaw, (1.97) inches in Kawthaung, (0.75) inch in Myeik, (0.55) inch Putao, (0.32) inch in Labutta and (0.20) inch each in Coco Island and Hainggyigyun.

BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over West central Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and centered at about (155) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Vishakhapatnam and about (175) Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada (India). Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and East central Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States ‌and isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Region and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 -11)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of thundery activities in the Southern Myanmar areas.
