SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.51) inches in Bhamo, (2.28) inches in Thabeikkyin, (1.73) inches in Gwa, (1.66) inches each in Hpapun and Payathonsu, (1.54) inches in Belin, (1.39) inches in Khayan, (1.30) inches in Zaung Tu, (1.10) inches in Zalun and (1.03) inches in Sittwe.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha coast(India) still persists. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and Eastern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Southern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from the Deltaic areas.
