SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.72) inches in Moemate(Myitsone), (2.40) inches in Machanbaw, (2.32) inches in Kyeikkhame, (1.89) inches in Coco Isaland, (1.75) inches in Singu(Agro), (1.50) inches each in Bhamo and Tamu, (1.38) inches in Tharrawady, (1.18) inches in Myeik, (1.10) inches in Matupi and (0.98) inche in Zalun.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha coasts (India) now lies over Northwest and adjoining Westcentral  Bay of Bengal Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coasts(India). Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 3rd October, 2020:  Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread Naypyitaw, widespread in Yangon Region and scattered in Mandalay Region.
