SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw and Chin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.69) inches in Taungkok, (2.95) inches in Maungdaw, (2.68) inches in Madauk, (2.52) inches in Shwekyin, (2.44) inches in Gwa, (2.33) inches in Thandwe, (2.32) inches in Chaungsone, (2.20) inches in Paletwa, (2.17) inches in Kyauktaw, (1.77) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (1.69) inches in Kamamaung and (1.61) inches in Mawlamyine.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th September, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in the Central Myanmar areas.
