SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Chin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Shan (South and East) and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.23) inches in Paung, (3.11) inches in Pathein, (2.87) inches in Hlaingbwe, (2.52) inches in Zalun, (2.43) inches in Shwegwun, (2.37) inches in Thaton, (2.17) inches each in Nanyun and Myaungmya, (2.13) inches in Paing Kyone, (2.09) inches in Letpadan, (2.05) inches in Myeik, (1.86) inches in Kawthaung, (1.81) inches in Bago, (1.72) inches each in Thipaw and Mawlamyine and (1.66) inches in Kawkareik.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th September, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw and Chin State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of thundery activities in the Central Myanmar areas.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 26th September, 2020:                 Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 26th September, 2020:  One or two rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (80%).

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 26th September, 2020:                  Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (60%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, widespread in Yangon Region and isolated in Mandalay Region.
