BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 25th September, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Southern Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (5– 9) feet Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-8) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Rakhine State.
