SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Shan(North and East) State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin and Southern Shan States, scattered in Mandalay and Lower Sagaing Regions, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.63) inches in Mawlamyine, (2.95) inches in Thaton, (2.80) inches each in Taungkok and Paing Kyone, (2.36) inches in Pyinmana(Walgyi), (2.32) inches in Kamamaung, (2.17) inches in Mudon, (2.09) inches  each in Letpadan, Hpa-an(Agro-Met) and Paung, (1.97) inches in Khayan, (1.93) inches in Saw, (1.89) inches in Paletwa, (1.73) inches each in Kawkareik and Kyeikmayaw and (1.50) inches in Myaungmya.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 03rdSeptember, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin and Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Tanintahyi Region, Chin and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
