SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon Regions and Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kachin State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (7.76) inches in Myitkyina, (4.01) inches in Homalin, (3.94) inches in Myawaddy, (3.89) inches in Bhamo, (2.17) inches in Mogaung, (2.09) inches each in Nyaung Oo and Shwekyin, (2.05) inches each in Tongzan and Ye, (1.89) inches in Heho, (1.85) inches in Kunlong, (1.81) inches in Tamu, (1.73) inches in Payathonsu and (1.61) inches each in Mindat and Gangaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 02ndSeptember, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Tanintahyi Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayin, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
