SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Ayeyarwady Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions, (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.37) inches in Thabeikkyin, (3.60) inches in Singu(Agro), (3.50) inches in Putao, (1.80) inches in Paing Kyone, (1.34) inches in Machanbaw, (1.22) inches in Central Yangon, (1.18) inches in Tada U(Avia-Met) and (1.07) inches in Taunggyi.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 01st September, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Chin State and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Kachin State and isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of decrease of rain in Kachin and Shan States.
