SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Bago Region, Shan(South and East) and Kayah States, scattered in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.56) inches in Machanbaw, (1.85) inches in Hlaingtat, (1.73) inches in Phyu, (1.02) inches in Hlegu, (0.67) inch in Taungoo(Avia-Met), (0.63) inch each in Putao and Kyauktaw, (0.59) inch in Okpho, (0.55) inch each in Naypyitaw Airport (Ela) and Belin and (0.51) inch in Hpapun.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st August, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Tanithayi Regions, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in Magway Region with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
