SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw and Chin State, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (8.98) inches in Chaungsone, (5.31) inches in Kyeikkhame, (3.25) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (2.52) inches in Thaton, (2.27) inches in Khayan, (2.24) inches in Theinzayet, (1.69) inches in Phyarpon, (1.65) inches in Pyinmana(Walgyi), (1.57) inches in Paung, (1.50) inches in Machanbaw, (1.42) inches in Central Yangon and (1.37) inches in Taunggu.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th August, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon.
