BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over North Bay of Bengal now lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal and North  Odisha (India). Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th August, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing,  Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin,  Kayin, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (7 – 10) feet off and along Rakhine Coast and about (5 - 7) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon.
