BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate  over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24th August, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Sagaing, Magway Regions, Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 -9)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
