BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is  moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 16th August, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Southern and Eastern  Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in  Bago Region, Rakhine,  Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely attimes Deltaic,off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (8 – 11) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and about (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Rakhine State.
