BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining  North  Coastal Odisha and West Bengal coasts (India) still persists. It is likely to intensify into a depression during next (12)hours and it is forecast to move  West-Northwestwards. Monsoon is  strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and vigorous elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING THE 15th August, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

 STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 – 14) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Rakhine State.
