BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 07th August, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Region, Shan (South and East), Chin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (8 – 12) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (5-8) feet Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
