SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in the whole country with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan and Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (9.16) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (7.44) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (6.61) inches in Mudon, (5.12) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (4.57) inches in Kyaukpyu, (4.30) inches in Paing Kyone, (4.06) inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), (3.98) inches in Mawlamyine, (3.94) inches in Kawkareik, (3.86) inches in Shwegwin, (3.78) inches in Chaungsone, (3.54) inches each in Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri) and Kyeikkhame, (3.50) inches in Hpa-an (Agro-Met), (3.46) inches in Taunggyi, (3.43) inches in Hainggyigyun, (3.03) inches in Taungdwingyi, (2.99) inches in Pathein, (2.95) inches in Okkan, (2.91) inches in Taunggu, (2.87) inches in Homalin, (2.83) inches each in Hlaingbwe and Kyeikdon and (2.80) inches in Ye.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the North Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th August, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in the whole country with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10-16) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
