BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 29thJuly, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan (North and East), Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
