SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Ayeyarwady Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavy falls in Magway Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.42) inches in Myitkyina, (2.28) inches in Mawlaik, (2.21) inches in Thandwe, (2.17) inches in Paletwa, (2.04) inches each in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) and Naypyitaw(Otarathiri), (2.01) inches in Taungkok, (1.93) inches in Taungdwingyi, (1.81) inches in Mingin, (1.58) inches in Maungdaw, (1.38) inches in Paung Byin, (1.30) inches in Bhamo, (1.27) inches each in Kunlong and Phyarpon and (1.18) inches in Belin.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20thJuly, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of decrease of rain in Deltaic areas.
