SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Naypyitaw and Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Magway and Yangon Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and isolated heavyfalls in Bago and Yangon Regions, Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.61) inches in Launglon, (3.78) inches in Dawei, (3.70) inches in Nyaunglaybin, (3.54) inches in Paung Byin, (3.43) inches each in Homalin and Coco Island, (3.19) inches in Gwa, (2.99) inches in Kyeikkhame, (2.76) inches each in Mudon and Paung, (2.72) inches in Putao, (2.48) inches in Shwegwin, (2.28) inches in Daik-U(Agro), (2.24) inches in Theinzayet, (2.04) inches in Hinthada, (2.01) inches each in Zalun and Chaungsone and (1.97) inches each in Thandwe and Kamamaung.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4thJuly, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw and Magway Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7 -10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong monsoon.
