BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay

of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 3rdJuly, 2020: Rain or

thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread

in Naypyitaw and Lower Sagaing Region, Kayah State and widespread

in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls

in Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin

and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times

Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along  Mon- Taninthayi Coasts. Surface

wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate

elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 10) feet in

Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about

(4 - 7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in

Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING  AREA  FOR  3rd July, 2020:

Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).
