SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region and Northern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions, Shan (South and East) and Kayin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.84) inches in Hkamti, (1.78) inches each in Thandwe, Madauk and Maubin, (1.50) inches in Shwekyin, (1.29) inches in Homalin, (1.18) inches each in Paletwa and Taunggu(Avia-Met), (1.10) inches in Kyaukpyu, (1.02) inches each in Putao, Naypyitaw (Dekkhinathiri) and Kyauktaw and (0.98) inch each in Okkan and Hpa Saung.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd June, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago and Yangon Regions, Shan and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
