SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State and  widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.41) inches in Paung, (3.70) inches in Gwa, (3.39) inches in Manaung, (3.23) inches in Thaton, (2.95) inches in Okkan, (2.87) inches each in Kawkareik and Mawlamyine, (2.80) inches in Thandwe, (2.60) inches in Hainggyigyun, (2.32) inches in Maubin, (2.20) inches in Machanbaw, (1.97) inches in Hpa-an (Agro-Met) and (1.85) inches in Hlaingbwe.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th June, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of strong monsoon.
