SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Southwest monsoon has advanced into the Deltaic areas, Southwest Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, Eastern Shan and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions and (2°C) below May average temperature in Chin State and about May average temperatures in the remaining regions and states. The significant day temperatures were (38°C) each in Chauk, Magway and Bawlakhae and (37°C) each in Myinmu, Myingyan, Minbu and Gangaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.87) inches each in Kyaukse and Gyobingauk, (1.97) inches in Shwekyin, (1.95) inches in Okpho, (1.78) inches each in Nyaunglaybin and Kamamaung, (1.73) inches in Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri), (1.69) inches in Launglon, (1.65) inches in Paung, (1.61) inches in Hpapun, (1.57) inches in Kyeikkhame, (1.50) inches in Madauk and (1.46) inches in Pauk.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 01st Jun, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in the Central Myanmar areas.
