SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Mon State and isolated in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayin States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Kayah and Kayin States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Chin and Mon States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine State and (2°C) below May average temperature in Kachin State. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) each in Chauk, Gangaw and Pauk, (43°C) in Nyaung Oo and (42°C) each in Kyemone (Agro- Met), Myinmu, Myingyan, Tada U(Avia), Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Sinbyugyun and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.13) inches in Launglon, (0.83) inch in Dawei, (0.78) inch in Mawlamyine, (0.72) inch each in Machanbaw and Ye, (0.55) inch in Putao and (0.51) inch in Paung.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin State and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in the Deltaic areas.
