BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm(AMPHAN) over the West Central Bay of Bengal has moved to Northwards. It is centered at about (200)Nautical miles South of Paradip(Odisha-India), about (275) Nautical miles South of Digha(india), about (350) Nautical miles Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh), about (380)Nautical miles West- Southwest of Maungdaw and about (380) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe (Myanmar).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 20th May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Sagaing and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Kayah States and scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Kachin and Eastern Shan States and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway and Bago Regions, Chin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Deltaic, Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (45)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10-16) feet off and along Deltaic, Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at time off and along Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States.
