SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Northern Shan State, scattered in Taninthayi Region, Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above May average temperature in Mon State, (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kachin and Shan States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States.The significant day temperatures were (46°C) in Chauk, (44°C)in Taunggu and (43°C) each in Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Sinbyugyun, Pyay, Gyobingauk, Hinthada, Bawlakhae and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.18) inches in Myeik, (1.02) inches in Naungcho, (0.98) inch in Myitson, (0.83) inch in Kyaukmae, (0.76) inch in Mogoke, (0.59) inch in Moemate, (0.43) inch in Khayan and (0.39) inch in Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining the South Andaman Sea. It may further intensify into a depression during next 48 hours and then it is likely to move Northwest wards initially. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Kayin and Mon States.
