SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Shan(North and South) and Kayah States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above May average temperatures in Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Southern Shan and Kayah States.The significant day temperatures were (45°C) each in Myinmu and Chauk, (44°C)each in Monywa, Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway, Taungdwingyi and Pauk and (43°C) each in Shwebo, Kyemone, Myingyan, Aunglan, Pakokku, Gangaw, Sinbyugyun and Gyobingauk. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.64) inches in Loikaw, (2.37) inches in Meiktila, (1.93) inches in Hlaingtat, (1.88) inches in Singaing(Agro-Met), (1.85) inches in Heho, (1.38) inches in Nyaung Shwe, (1.20) inches in Patheingyi(Shwesayan), (1.04) inches in Amarapura(Agro-Met) and (1.02) inches in Myitnge.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Kachin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Shan, Chin and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
