SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Northern Shan State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Chin and Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Bago and Yangon Regions, Kayin and Mon States, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Northern Shan States and (2°C) below May average temperature in Chin State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Chauk, Taunggu and Bawlakhae and (41°C) each in Magway, Aunglan, Bago, Tharrawady, Gyobingauk, Hpa-an, Myawaddy, Hlaingbwe and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.94) inch in Kunlong, (0.91) inch each in Paletwa and Tamu, (0.47) inch in Monyin, (0.32) inch in Ye and (0.11) inch in Myitkyina.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It cloud not significantly intensify during next (3)days. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 06th May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan State and isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of day temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions.
