SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavy falls in Eastern Shan State. Day temperatures were (2°C) above April average temperature in Mon State and (2°C) below April average temperatures in Magway and Bago Regions, Kachin and Kayah States and (3°C) to (4°C) below April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and (5°C) below April average temperatures in Northern Shan and Chin States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures was (40°C) in Chauk and (39°C) in Hpa-an. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.11) inches in Minesat, (2.54) inches in Singaing(Agro), (2.48) inches in Pinlaung, (2.01) inches in Central Yangon, (1.95) inches in Wandwin (Agro), (1.89) inches in Manaung, (1.85) inches in Hlaingtat(Agro-met), (1.81) inches in Yangon(Mingaladon), (1.79) inches in Mahlaing(Agro), (1.77) inches in Yangon (Kaba-Aye), (1.69) inches in Loilin, (1.41) inches in Meiktila, (1.32) inches in Amarapura (Agro), (1.30) inches in Namsam, (1.15) inches in Thazi(Agro), (1.10) inches in Kengtung and (1.06) inches each in Nyaung Shwe and Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal. It may further intensify into a depression during next 96 hours and it is likely to move North- Northwest wards.Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 02nd May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Rakhine State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin State and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
