SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions, Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Chin State, scattered in Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin State and isolated in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Southern Shan, Kayah and Kayin States, (5°C) to (6°C) below April average temperatures in Magway Region and Chin State, (7°C) to (8°C) below April average temperatures in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and (9°C) below April average temperature in (Northern and Eastern)Shan State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Okkan and (39°C)each in Shwekyin, Tharrawady, Nyaunglaybin and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.91) inches in Madauk, (1.46) inches in Gangaw, (1.17) inches in Paung Byin, (1.10) inches in Shwekyin, (0.98) inch in Hinthada, (0.87) inch in Bawlakhae, (0.83) inch in Mingin, (0.79) inch in Tongzan, (0.75) inch in Minbu and (0.71) inch each in Htilin and Dawei.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th April, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Shan, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin State and scattered in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in the whole country.
