SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon Region, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Chin and Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw and Kayin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above April average temperatures in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Mon State, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Bago Region, Kayah and Kayin States and (5°C) below April average temperatures in Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, (4°C) below April average temperatures in Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State and (2°C) below April average temperature in Mandalay and Magway Regions and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Gyobingauk and Bawlakhae and (41°C)each in Taunggu, Zaung Tu, Bago, Shwekyin, Tharrawady and Nyaunglaybin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.83) inches in Belin, (2.12) inches in Myeik, (1.81) inches in Kataingti, (1.18) inches in Maungdaw, (1.06) inches in Hpa-an, (0.98) inch in Theinzayet, (0.80) inch in Kamamaung, (0.67) inch each in Lashio, Kyaukmae and Hpapun and (0.55) inch each in Mongyang and Myingyan.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th April, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions and Kachine State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in the whole country.
