SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan and Chin States, scattered in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions and isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Rakhine State with isolated heavy falls in Magway Region and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above April average temperatures in Kayin and Mon States, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and (3°C) below April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, (6°C) below April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and (8°C) below April average temperature in Northern Shan State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Chauk and (42°C)each in Minbu, Magway, Taungdwingyi, Taunggu, Gyobingauk and Myawaddy. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.02) inches in Htilin, (1.22) inches in Ramthlo, (0.98) inch in Kunlong , (0.94) inch each in Machanbaw and Dawei, (0.87) inch in Putao, (0.82) inch in Kalewa, (0.79) inch each in Hakha and Falam, (0.74) inch in Kengtung, (0.67) inch in Myinmu, (0.63) inch in Mogoke, (0.59) inch in Pyinoolwin and (0.56) inch each in Matupi and Monywa.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th April, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Rakhine State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in the whole country.
