SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Shan( North and East) State,  fairly widespread in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States, scattered in  Mandalay Region and Rakhine State and isolated in Magway and Taninthayi Regions and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and (2°C) above April average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) below April average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region and (3°C) below April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) each in Taunggu and Bawlakhae, (43°C) in Taunggu(Avia–Met), (42°C) each in Chauk, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Ann, Pyay, Zaung Tu, Shwekyin, Tharrawady, Nyaunglaybin, Gyobingauk, Yangon(Kaba-Aye), Khayan, Hinthada, Ngathaichaung, Zalun, Kawkareik and Myawaddy. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.59) inch in Tongzan, (0.47) inch each in Lashio and Kanbalu, (0.32) inch in Kunlong, (0.16) inch each in Thipaw, Kyaukmae and Thabeikkyin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th April, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Northern Shan States and scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Shan(South and East), Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
