SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated in Shan ( South and East) and Chin States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and (2°C) above April average temperatures in Shan ( North and South) State, (7°C) below April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and (3°C) to (4°C) below April average temperatures in Kachin and Chin States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Taunggu, (44°C) in Aunglan, (43°C) in Pyay and (42°C) each in Naypyitaw (Zayarthiri), Naypyitaw Airport (Ela), Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Taungdwinggyi, Zaung Tu, Bago, Shwekyin, Tharrawady, Nyaunglaybin, Phyu, Gyobingauk, Khayan and Hinthada. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.08) inch each in Putao, Myitkyina and Hkamti and (0.04) inch each in Machanbaw, Mogaung and Homalin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Central Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th April, 2020: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
