SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States, isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Southern Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above April average temperature in Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, (Northern and Southern)Shan and Chin States and (2°C) above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Chauk and (43°C) each in Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.58) inches in Paung Byin, (0.55)each inch in Monyin and Kawthaung, (0.35)inch in Myeik, (0.24)each inch in Namsam and Mawlaik, (0.20)inch in Ramthlo and (0.15)inch in Myitkyina.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and West Central Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th April, 2020: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Shan and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan and Chin States.
