SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours,

rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, Chin and Rakhine

States. Weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon

and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Shan States and generally fair in the remaining

Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures

in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan,

Kayin and Mon States and (2°C) above April average temperatures in Bago and Yangon

Regions, Shan(North and South), Rakhine and Kayah States and about April average

temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures

were (44°C) in Chauk, (43°C) each in Magway and Bawlakhae and (42°C) each in

Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Aunglan, Sinbyugyun, Taunggu, Hpa-an and Hlaingbwe.

The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.16) inch each in Paletwa and Kyauktaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay

of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th April, 2020: Rain or thundershowers are

likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan (North and

East), Chin and Northern Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be

partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions,

Southern Shan and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will

be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures

in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay,Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions.

fair weather.
