SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Kachin State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region, Shan (North and East), Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Southern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) each in Namsam and Mongyang, (5°C) each in Heho, Hakha and Mogoke and (6°C) in Mingin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Putao and Machangbaw (0.16)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and East central Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th January, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and about (4-6) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions and Shan State.

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 25th January, 2020:      Partly cloudy.

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region and partly cloudy in Yangon Region.
