SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Northern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperatures in Kayin and Mon States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) in Namsam, (3°C) each in Heho and Hakha, (4°C) in Mogoke, (5°C) in Mongyang and (6°C) each in Thipaw, Kyaukmae, Pinlaung, Loilin and Pyinoolwin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the East central Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd January, 2020: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Shan and Chin States.
