SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain has been isolated in Kachin State, weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin, Kayah and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) above January average temperature in Taninthayi Region and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Namsam, (3°C) in Heho, (4°C) each in Mongyang and Mogoke, (5°C) each in Pinlaung and Loilin, (6°C) each in Lashio, Kyaukmae, Tiddim, Ramthlo and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Putao (0.04)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st January, 2020: Rain will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions and Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan and Chin States.
