SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, light rain have been isolated in Taninthayi Region, weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin and Chin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Eastern Shan and Chin States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-2°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Mogoke, (3°C) each in Pinlaung and Heho, (4°C) each in Mongyang and Pyinoolwin and (5°C) each in Kyaukmae, Namsam and Ramthlo.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the East Central Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th January, 2020: Light rain will be isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Chin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

 STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of isolated rain in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State.
