SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) above January average temperature in Sagaing Region and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (3°C) in Mongyang, (4°C) each in Namsam, Heho and Mogoke, (5°C) each in Pinlaung and Pyinoolwin and (6°C) each in Lashio, Kyaukmae, Kengtung, Mindat and Ramthlo.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Bay and West Central Bay and generally fair over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th January, 2020: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Chin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
