SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperatures in Sagaing Region, Chin and Mon States and (3°C) above January average temperatures in Kachin, Northern Shan and Kayin States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (3°C) in Heho, (4°C) in Hakha, (5°C) each in Namsam and Pinlaung, (6°C) each in Mindat and Tongzan and (7°C) each in Pyinoolwin and Mogoke.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th January, 2020: Light rain will be isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 – 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Shan and Kayah States.
