SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, light rain has been isolated in Kachin State, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below December average temperatures in Eastern Shan and Kayah States, (2°C) below December average temperatures in Mandalay, Bago and Yangon Regions and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (2°C) each in Heho and Mongyang, (4°C) each in Namsam, Pinlaung and Mogoke and (6°C) each in Nyaung Shwe, Kengtung and Pyinoolwin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is ‌a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th December, 2019: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region, Chin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5 –7) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (3 – 5) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Decrease of night temperatures in the Eastern Myanmar areas.
