BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 18th September, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf off Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6–9) feet in Gulf off Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4–6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.
