SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Yangon Region, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay and Bago Regions, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, isolated in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Northern Shan States and weather has been partly cloudy to cloudy in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfall in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kawthaung (3.19)inches, Pyinmana (Walgyi) (1.66)inches, Mahlaing (Agro) (1.50)inches, Khayan (1.14)inches, Bago (1.10)inches, Natogyi(Agro) (1.09)inches and Yay (1.06)inches.

 BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th September, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf off Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6–9) feet in Gulf off Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4–6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in Upper Myanmar areas.
