SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Myauk U (7.09)inches, Kyauktaw (5.20)inches, Paung (4.65)inches, Kawkareik (4.10)inches, Kamamaung (4.05)inches, Myitkyina (3.93)inches, Myeik (3.50)inches, Thaton (3.04)inches, Shwegwin (2.59) inches and Paing Kyone (2.52)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th September, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 –10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin and Shan States.
