SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and (Northern and Southern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kachin and Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Maungdaw (3.23)inches, Putao (3.19)inches, Launglon (2.87)inches, Okkan and Belin (2.56)inches each, Nyauntone (2.40)inches, Central Yangon (2.28)inches, Hlegu (2.24)inches, Hlaingbwe and Chaungsone (2.17)inches each, Sittwe (1.69)inches, Dawei (1.61)inches, Yangon(Kaba-Aye)(1.53)inches and Tharrawady (1.50)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6– 9)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region, Shan, Kayin and Mon States.
